The Refugee Investment Network (RIN), in collaboration with the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), has undertaken a series of engagements across Ethiopia, Uganda, and Kenya. These engagements aimed to foster private sector involvement in refugee economic inclusion, aligning with the commitments of the Kampala Declaration. Through a series of workshops and consultations, RIN and IGAD facilitated dialogue between private sector actors, government officials, and NGOs to identify barriers and opportunities for investment in refugee-hosting areas. The outcomes include co-created Policy Action Roadmaps for each country, outlining strategies to enhance private sector engagement and improve the economic landscape for refugees and host communities.
